THE EASTER MESSAGE
What does Easter mean to you?
Many people celebrate Easter in many different ways.
The significance of Easter is a time to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross, that those who believe in him may have eternal life.
We live faithfully in this world regardless of the challenges we face in life as we can pray directly to God.
Some religions believe that you have to go through a priest to confess their sins. in order to be forgiven, bearing in mind a priest is a sinner just like them.
The fact Jesus died on the cross gives us access to speak to God directly.
Whether you have faith in God, as you know him, or are agnostic, or atheist, you will still find people buying Easter cards and eggs for their children and families.
The truth is that in the UK they want to eradicate Easter by renaming the holiday to ‘Spring Break’ in a country that represents The Church of England.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT — will they keep the bank holiday on a Friday?
If they take away Easter then they should all go to work on a Good Friday.
I attended a Easter service this morning and enjoyed the tradition of singing the hymns and meeting with other devout christians and their children.
